Chopin/Bolling and the Matt Herskowitz Trio: Hear Frédéric Chopin as reimagined by the Matt Herskowitz trio, in a 21st century context of mixed genres, grooves and improvisation. The program showcases the complete Sonata no. 2 in Bb minor, op. 35, and includes new original compositions by Matt Herskowitz inspired by Chopin himself. The eclectic evening begins with the incomparable music of Claude Bolling and highlights from his Suites for Cello and Jazz Piano, and Violin and Jazz Piano. The ensemble includes Zuill Bailey, cello and Lara St. John, violin.
